inspiration temptation

When the day comes that I no longer want the entire contents of Nasty Girl, i'll let you know. Until then, I am a slave to their ridiculous trendiness. Anyone want to buy me that floral kimono? Anyone?

polish perfection {Part 1}

Okay, so everyone has that thing truly inspired beauty obsession. There's always that little detail or aspect of the fashion world that really, truly got them hooked. For some it was shoes, for others, lipstick. Let's be honest, we are all victims. For me, it was nail polish. I'm not ashamed to say I have a horrifically large collection, there's just something about those perfectly cute little bottles all decked out in a colour co-ordinated row that just brings out the obsessor in me. I can't say no. I've decided I need to share my love with the rest of you guys, so here is Part 1 of who knows how many posts dedicated to my top picks, the best-in-show that the polish world has to offer. Enjoy your ogling!

{from left to right - Essie Pop Art Pink - China Glaze Flyin' High - OPI Flower to Flower}

1. Essie's Pop Art Pink is the most perfect, cool toned baby pink that looks so soft on the nails and perfect for a neutral but pretty look.
2. China Glaze's Flyin' High is a spunky bright, staple pink. Everyone should have that one, true barbie pink polish for that feeling-good day, and this is mine.
3. OPI's flower to flower is a deceiving little thing, looks like any other pink in the bottle but is stunning on the nail. It has little shimmering silver sparkles that light up beautifully in the sunlight. Probably my most worn pink.

{from left to right - Essie Russian Roulette - Essie Geranium - Essie Limited Addiction}

1. Essie's Russian Roulette is the classic example of why Essie became famous. No one does reds better, and this is no exception, the perfect bright red for those sexy days when you want to stand out.
2. Essie's Geranium is my favourite red of all time, simple as that. A brilliant bright orange-red, and perfect for that retro look and to brighten up your week.
3. Essie's Limited Addiction is sultry and suggestive, and a rich blood red that is gorgeous in winter. I love this colour so much and it glides on like butter.

{from left to right - Essie California Coral - Rescue Beauty Lounge Coral - Essie Tart Deco}

1. Essie's California Coral should be in everyone's collection. It suits almost every skin tone and is the colour I reach for when I don't know what I want.
2. Rescue Beauty Lounge Coral is what many consider the perfect coral, not too orange, not too pink. In any case, the formula is sublime.
3. Essie's Tart Deco is.....I can't even describe. The Ultimate Perfection. Without a doubt my favourite and most worn polish to date.

What is your fashion obsession? Are you a nail polish nerd like me? Any amazing colours you think I have missed?

sun and sea

With my upcoming Fiji trip looming, it seems obvious that it's swimsuit shopping time, and with a Seafolly flagship store two paces away from my hotel in Melbourne, ...duh! Being a girl with a larger chest in comparison to the rest of her body, I often find it impossible to find anything that fits my top half comfortably. And bikini sets? Forget about it. Thankfully Seafolly has released their 2011 Summer collection and praise the lord!! Separates that actually look cute? I know, I didn't believe it either. They have a whole selection that come in the bustier shape for larger busts, which are not only flattering but super sexy! (and for you girls with smaller chests, bustiers can give you that cleavage you're after, it's a win win people!) Here are just a few I'll be checking out while i'm there, my favourites are probably #1, #2 and #4 of in the last panel, and that killer leopard print up top!

color me silly

There is nothing better than an absurdly bright bag or clutch to wake up an outfit or simply to make passers by do a double take. (Hoping to pick up both 5&6 when I'm in Melbourne. I'm sorry wallet, how can I not? Wouldn't that Coral sling be perfect for my Fiji trip?)

streets of melbourne

I jetset off to Melbourne on Friday for some well deserved shopping therapy before term starts back. Hopefully I can get my camera back in time to take a few shots to show you all. I can't wait to get my hands on Zara and M.A.C Pro to satisfy my cravings, until then here are a few things I am currently eyeing off from One Teaspoon's new 2011 spring collection!

floaty florals

Apologies for my lack of updating all, I've been interstate, but back now for some fancy fashion fabulousness!

You've seen me express my love for Sportsgirl before, for their last collection of 70's inspired jumpsuits and lace emsembles with lace detailing, and here is their latest selection, also apparently keeping that 70's vibe.....but I don't know if I like it! I don't know about you guys, but it seems...dull. Sportsgirl always seems to be so on trend with their own twist, and then they come out with this? Come on guys, we can do better than this. Not to say there aren't selected pieces that I don't like. That little Aladdin jacket/vest in the bottom left is super cute, and those safety cone orange heels will most likely end up in my wardrobe, but apart from that....eh! It's all okay, but since when do we want to wear okay? Little disappointed! The individual items I'm sure are fabulous, but the whole togetherness seems very done before.

Thoughts?
